我們直說attract，因為attractive只不過是動詞attract的形容詞形式：
詞根tract=draw，表示拉，拖，抽，把某事某物集中聚集=吸引。
注意：tract確實有吸引、牽引的意思，tractor拖拉機大家都認識吧？所以再次證明tract有拖、拉的意思。引申為吸引。train火車，總認識吧。這個單詞也有一個tra，火車不也是火車頭拉著好多車廂往前開嘛。
所以，加上形容詞后綴就表示吸引人的、有吸引力的，再引申為迷人的。

attractive的基本意思是“有吸引力的”，用于人時指外表“性感的；嫵媚的；英俊的；誘人的”；用于物或地方時指“漂亮的；有吸引力的”；用于事物時指“引起興趣的；有誘惑力的”。attractive還可表示“吸引的”，常用于修飾force,power等抽象名詞。attractive在句中可用作定語、表語和賓語補足語。作“吸引的”解時不用于比較等級。attractive接介詞to引起的短語可表示“對…有吸引力”。
