詞源解說法
中國(guó)人有“學(xué)而優(yōu)則仕”的觀念，而英語(yǔ)單詞master其實(shí)也含有類似的含義。master來(lái)自拉丁語(yǔ)magister，表示“首領(lǐng)、領(lǐng)頭人、指導(dǎo)者、教授者”。magister中的magis表示“更多、更大”，所以magister的本意是“學(xué)識(shí)更多的人，更偉大的人”，也就是“佼佼者”的意思。因?yàn)樗葎e人學(xué)識(shí)淵博，所以他既能當(dāng)老師，指導(dǎo)別人做事，又能走上仕途，擔(dān)任領(lǐng)導(dǎo)職務(wù)。
